Artist's Comments

This guy was tough to shoot. Not only was it super small (less than half a centimeter!) but it was in the shade. With my extension tubes it was super dark in the viewfinder. There was also wind blowing. So it was hard to see the subject as well as get the subject in focus. This was basically shot blindly and I was lucky enough to get the eyes in focus in this one shot, which was the only one that came out good before it got scared off and hid under the rose.

About 2x life-size. Shot with Kenko tubes using Sigma EX 105mm f/2.8 and Sigma EM-140DG Macro Flash.

There is still full height resolution in this image. The sides were cropped because I'm starting to really like the square format.
